Evolution of the superior Channel Thrust Technology is progressing unstoppably. As a result of countless laboratory tests in the mares fin testing machine, which is unique in the world, the designers pulled off another coup. Once again they managed to considerably increase the positive channeling of water. This physical effect is decisive for the efficient thrust of many mares fins. It is also the factor that made the scuba fin Plana Avanti Quattro the most successful and best-selling fin of the world. The channel thrust effect is a stroke of genius, but can easily be explained: the more water a finning stroke moves backwards, the higher the resulting thrust. If the flexible grooves form a channel in the blade, both during the upward and downward strokes, the displaced water no longer spills over the blade sides. All of it being moved backwards in one go, translates energy into effective thrust, without any losses.

In the Avanti Superchannel we improved the 3-channel-technology by a wide and flexible central groove. The result: efficiency, in form of thrust, is clearly increased, even with minimal effort. In addition, the foot pocket was orthopedically optimized in order to achieve a better power transmission, which allows even extended snorkeling without fatigue.
